Pre-notification of collection

Before collecting a payment, you may want to notify your customers in advance by sending them a payment pre-notification. This notification details when a payment will be withdrawn from the customer's account and whether it's a one-time or recurring payment.

Note that this different from the payment notification, which is sent after the payment has been processed and booked.

There are two distinct types of notifications:

  • Payment notification: A confirmation sent after a payment has been processed and booked. This is a mandatory notification for all payment schemes.
  • Pre-notification: An advance notice informing when a future payment will be processed and booked. This is not mandatory for SEPA Direct Debit.
