(Deprecated) Pre-notification of collection
This functionality has been deprecated. It will be replaced by the capabilities described here. Refer to the Migration Guide for the required changes to adopt the new capabilities.
Before collecting a payment, you may want to notify your customers in advance by sending them a payment pre-notification. This notification details when a payment will be withdrawn from the customer's account and whether it's a one-time or recurring payment.
Note that this different from the payment notification, which is sent after the payment has been processed and booked.
There are two distinct types of notifications:
- Payment notification: A confirmation sent after a payment has been processed and booked. This is a mandatory notification for all payment schemes.
- Pre-notification: An advance notice informing when a future payment will be processed and booked. This is not mandatory for SEPA Direct Debit.
